Scope
The FeeCollectionInitiation message can be initiated by any party and received by any party (acquirer, agent or issuer) to claim or pay a miscellaneous service between financial institutions. Fee collection messages have financial impacts and affect reconciliation totals without affecting a cardholder account.Outline
The FeeCollectionInitiationV04 MessageDefinition is composed of 32 MessageBuildingBlocks:
- Header — Information related to the protocol management. ISO 8583 MTI
- Transaction Characteristics — Contains the key data elements of the transaction.
- Originator — Identifies the originator of the transaction.
- Acquirer — Identification of the acquirer.
- Sender — Party sending the message to another intermediary agent or to the final destination.
- Card — Card or payment token performing the transaction.
- Receiver — Party receiving the message from the origin or from an intermediary agent.
- Issuer — Information related to the issuer.
- Destination — Identifies the destination of the transaction.
- Programme — Programme, network, or brand processes the transaction.
- Transaction Identification — Identification of the transaction.
- Conversion Date Time — Date and Time of currency conversion.
- Acceptor — Card acceptor performing the card transaction.
- Transactor — Information related to the transactior who provides technical payment solutions for acceptor and originator to conduct transactions.
- Terminal — Payment terminal or ATM performing the transaction.
- Context — Context of the reversal transaction.
- Transaction Amounts — Amounts of the card transaction.
- Additional Amount — Amounts that are not part of the transaction amount and not included in reconciliation.
- Original Data Elements — Data elements contained in the original message.
- Fee Collection Reference — Reference for the Fee Collection.
- Token — Details of payment token.
- Wallet — Container for tenders used by the customer to perform the payment transaction.
- Special Programme Qualification — Data to qualify for incentive or other related programmes.
- Jurisdiction — Contains information that identifies or is specific to a transaction jurisdiction.
- Settlement Service — Type of settlement service for specific services requiring settlement.
- Additional Fee — Fees not included in the transaction amount. A Reconciliation
