Scope

The ChargesPaymentRequest message is sent by a financial institution to another financial institution to request the payment of charges, interest and/or other expenses which are previously unknown to the receiver.

Outline

The ChargesPaymentRequestV03 MessageDefinition is composed of 3 MessageBuildingBlocks:

  • Group Header — Unique identification of the charges message.
  • Charges — Provides information on the charges to be paid by the charge bearer(s) related to the processing of the underlying transaction.
  • Supplementary Data — Additional information that cannot be captured in the structured elements and/or any other specific block.
